Since its founding in 1978, Earnest & Associates has always tasked ourselves with the responsibility of helping our customers get the largest possible return out of their investment in technology. From our humble beginnings writing software code for mainframe computer users, to building teams with the expertise to implement a variety of ERP solutions, to our general distribution and manufacturing consulting practice, and finally our own suite of productivity tools, E&A has always been focused on helping our customers to grow faster and profit more. Today, E&A supports over 400 companies located in 28 U.S. states, who collectively employ over 15,000 people and generate annual revenues in excess of $13 billion. These companies rely on E&A’s expertise to help support and guide them with their enterprise applications, and to help them to execute on their strategic vision.

E&A History

1978

Earnest & Associates is founded by Tim Earnest in Baltimore, Maryland.

1978-1983

E&A writes custom applications for various mainframe platforms.

1985

E&A becomes a certified affiliate for a comprehensive distribution software product created by Software Solutions.

1987

E&A becomes a certified affiliate for manufacturing software.

1987-1998

E&A is a consistent Top 20 reseller for Software Solutions.

1999
  • E&A becomes a certified Cognos BI Sales and Development Partner.
  • E&A is named the national sales leader for Software Solutions.
2003
  • E&A opens a sales and technical support office in Greensboro, North Carolina.
  • E&A grows to 40 employees.
2004
  • E&A open new offices in Greenville, SC and Atlanta, GA.
  • E&A is named Solution Partner of the Year by Infor, who acquired Software Solutions.
  • E&A Company becomes a Radio Beacon (now Körber) WMS Partner.
2005
  • E&A opens a sales and technical support office in Miami Lakes, Florida.
  • E&A University is founded.
  • E&A launches the first of many Productivity solutions for the midmarket.
  • E&A becomes an Infor Gold Channel Partner.
2007

E&A opens a sales and technical support office in Springfield, Illinois.

2008

E&A grows to 60 employees.

2011
  • E&A launches ProDecisions – our first BI solution.
  • E&A grows to 70 employees.
2013

E&A opens a sales and technical support office in Meriden, Connecticut.

2014
  • E&A is recognized as Infor’s top producer in North America.
  • E&A develops a Microsoft Power BI version of ProDecisions.
  • E&A Launches SaaS Based Private Label Product – Customer Stratification (later branded ProSales).
2018
  • E&A develops a Microsoft Power BI version of ProDecisions.
  • E&A becomes an Infor Affiliate Partner.
2022

E&A Launches SaaS Based Private Label Product – ProAdvisor.

2023
  • E&A Launches CloudDecisions – the Cloud version of ProDecisions.
  • E&A recognized as Top 3 Revenue Producer by Infor.
